The Phipps

On July 2nd we had the privilege of being a part of Payton and Bryan's wedding day. Payton reached out to us after a friend of hers recommended us to her. She wanted to be able to enjoy her wedding day, and not put any pressure on her family or friends to handle the details.

We corresponded with Payton via email and decided a customized quote would be best for her and her fiancé. We customized a quote for Payton to meet he

needs, which allowed Payton to have us at the rehearsal, on Friday evening and then from 1pm to 8pm on the day of the wedding. About a month prior to the wedding, we met Payton, Bryan and the bride's mom to go over the details of the day. During this meeting, we discussed her vendors, rehearsal schedule, and day of wedding timeline. We went over small details and made a list of all the tasks she needed us to manage.

The Phipps rehearsal

Fast forward to wedding weekend! On Friday, we arrived at Hudson Farm at 5:30 to meet the bride and groom. At 6:00, we ran the rehearsal for Payton and Bryan. This meant that we lined up the bridal party and family in the correct order, and then explained the process of the ceremony. To help the bride feel more comfortable we played the music so everyone had a better idea of when to enter. By having us there the officiant could focus on her message, the wedding party could focus on being there for the bride and groom, and the family got to enjoy the moment.

The day of the wedding, we arrived at Hudson Farms at 1:00 PM. When we arrived, the ladies were dressed and were finalizing details. We assisted in putting on shoes, fixing hair, and putting finishing touches on the brides look. While Jenny was with the ladies,

Taylor met the guys when they arrived to the location. She assisted the men during their photos with the second shooter while Jenny helped the bridesmaids and bride in their photos.

By having two of us there on the day of, one of us can always be with the bridal party, while the other one handles any details that may need finalized.

Taylor helping with groom's photos

After assisting with the first look

photos with the bride and groom, we hung up the flowers on the arch at the end of the aisle. We also made sure the reception space was exactly as the bride wanted it. We consulted with the venue owner to clarify a few directions from the bride. We also met the D.J. to introduce ourselves and be sure he was aware of how we would

assist in the reception later that night.

Setting out the cake was a detail we were able to handle for the bride and groom. While doing this we set out two plates, two napkins, and the serving utensils. This is something that often times is overlooked. Imagine a bride and groom trying to cut their cake in front of their entire reception without anything to cut it with and place it on. The bride and groom also wanted to drive away from the ceremony in a car that had "just married" behind them.

We make every detail happen!

We took on the challenge of attaching the wording the the car and making it sure the pictures were exactly what they wanted for that special moment! No small task goes unnoticed, check out what Jenny did to make it happen in the photo- a little gravel and dirt never hurts :)

Throughout the day, we continually checked in with the bride, groom,, bridal party, parents, and vendors. We helped throughout photos to be sure all the correct photos were taken without an important photo being forgotten. As family arrived, we escorted them to the photo locations. After family photos were finished we took the bridal party to the house to relax before the ceremony.

When the guests started to arrive, Taylor met them and directed them to the correct location. During this time, Jenny was helping the bridal party and parents freshen up, and be prepared for the ceremony. We are in constant contact as the guests the guest show up so that we know when to start lining up the bridal party for their entrance. By doing this, it helps to make sure everything is in place exactly as needed for the ceremony and for the event to start right on time. All guests were seated and the ceremony began. Taylor lined up the bridal party and directed them on when to go down the aisle. The entrance went off seamlessly and the ceremony was absolutely perfect!

Bride & Groom- Just Married

After the ceremony, we directed guests to grab bubbles and begin to make two lines for the bride and grooms exit from the ceremony in the car. Their exit was perfect and exactly what they wanted. The bride and groom snuck off for some alone time and photos, while the guests made their way to cocktail hour in the reception venue.

As guests began to fill into the space, we helped guests find their tables, took the bridal party drinks, and made sure all the details were ready to go, such as the cake, the head table, and the dessert table. We coordinated with the DJ to make sure the order in which the bridal party would be announced was correct and that that the order of the reception was communicated to the photographer and videographers.

At 5:45 we began lining up the bridal party for their entrance into the reception. The bridal party was announced, the first dance occurred, the cake was cut, and the special dances went perfectly. Taylor then helped get the microphone to the head table for the best man and maid of honor speeches. After the speeches, we released tables for dinner. Having us release tables allows for the pace of dinner to go more efficiently. We never want the caterers to feel overwhelmed by how quickly the buffet line goes.

After all tables were released, we helped the bride and groom get their golden hour photos taken with the photographer and videographers and they were absolutely stunning! It could not have been a more perfect evening for The Phipps Wedding. We were honored to be a part of it! Cheers to the Phipps!

Testimonial from the bride & groom!

"Taylor and Jenny are one of a kind! They made our wedding day go so smoothly, we cannot thank them enough. Of course on your wedding day there are things that don't go as planned, it was so comforting knowing they both were there taking things into their own hands and making everything perfect! I got asked how I was so calm and I am certain it was knowing they were there handling everything I couldn't. Taylor took over the groomsmen and kept them in line while Jenny was my personal assistant, always fixing my dress, making sure I was happy with pictures, and completely running the day! I would 100% recommend having Events with Taylor & Jenny help out with your big day. I was on the fence if a planner was necessary and I am SO glad they were there. Our wedding day wouldn't have been near as perfect as it was if it weren't for them!"
