Lantz Family Celebration

The Lantz family had much to celebrate on May 21, 2022, at Riggs Brewery in Urbana, Illinois. Ramie and Jen were married on March 26th, 2020, and celebrated their 2-year anniversary with friends and family at Riggs, but that wasn't the only thing they were celebrating. They also celebrated their twin boys turning ONE.

We were honored to be hired to help them make this day everything they could have dreamed of. We first began by going to Riggs Brewery and taking a tour of the space they would be using for the celebration. We then began brainstorming with Ramie and Jen a theme they wanted for the party. Once we settled on a theme we created invitations, gathered guest lists, created mailing labels, and sent out invitations to guests. We kept track of all RSVP's so that Ramie and Jen did not have to worry about a thing.

We then began to plan lunch, dessert, and all other vendors. We first booked Michelle Brucker of Sweet Kreations out of Gibson City, Illinois for cupcakes and smash cakes. She always delivers quality products that taste delicious!

We then booked Coffee and Friends out of Paxton, Illinois for their Fruit Cakes. The fruit cakes were a crowd favorite (pictured below).

After we booked the desserts, we contacted Riggs Brewery to find out what food truck would be on location during their party. We found out the Smiths Burger Co would be the food truck and Ramie decided he'd like to use them for his guest's lunch option. We then collaborated with Smiths Burger Co to create a voucher for guests to use that would allow for one burger and side. We created the voucher and printed them for the celebration.

The next vendor we booked was Kona Ice. Jen thought that Kona Ice would be a fun treat for the kids at the party as well as the big kids. We got in contact with Kona Ice and booked them for the party. Again, we created a voucher for guests to receive on Kona Ice treat from the hosts.

After we booked the vendors, we began creating a list of decor we would be needing for the event. We ordered all table decor for the couple, so they didn't have to worry about keeping track of the different decor elements.

The Planning is Done! Here is what we did during the event!

We began the day by arriving first at Riggs Brewery at 11:30

Jenny, delivering food in the rain!

AM. We quickly set up the room with decorations and desserts. As guests began to arrive, we greeted them and told them about the food truck tickets, drinks at the bar, and desserts. Guests were excited to get their lunch from the food truck, even though the rain did not make it ideal. Because it was raining, we offered to go pick up the guest's food and bring it back inside for them.

Because the event was open house style, we continued to help guests navigate the different food trucks and bar options for the party. We coordinated with the Kona Ice truck as they arrived at 1:00 for parking and the tickets. The guests enjoyed the Kona Ice truck option for a different type of sweet treat!

As the event was coming to an end, we coordinated with the parents of the boys to do their smash cakes. We moved around tables, found high chairs, and made a cute photo backdrop for the boys to celebrate their birthday! As a family tradition, they sang happy birthday in English, Spanish, and Polish. The boys enjoyed their cakes and the guests enjoyed the cupcakes and fruit cake. Throughout the event, we took numerous pictures of family & friends.

After the smash cakes, we began the final call for Kona Ice and the Smith Burger Co food truck. We had to be out of the party room at Riggs by 3:00, so we quickly began to clean up all decor and desserts. We reminded guests that they needed to either move outside or into the brewery, so the Riggs staff could flip the room for the next party. We took all decorations and leftover desserts to Lantz's vehicle and made sure that they had settled all tabs with the bar, Kona Ice, and Smith Burger Co. We wrapped up by making sure they were pleased with our services for the day.
